An injury time headed goal by Juanfran gave Celta Vigo a narrow 2-1 victory against Zenit St. Petersburg in one of the three Intertoto cup finals. Celta were surprised by an early goal from Igonin, but Karpin levelled the scores before half time. Gustavo López was sent off in the second half and will not be available for the return leg in Russia in two weeks time.
