Ivan Tomic got his first two goals for his new club. Espanyol scored twice in the first half to beat Olympia Ljubljana 2-0. The match was stopped for half an hour or so near the end for a waterlogged pitch. Celta's Djorovic got the only goal of the tie against Rijeka late into extra time to give them victory, and Rayo Vallecano went through after drawing with Molde 1-1, with a first half penalty by Michel.
