Espanyol 1 - Barcelona 2
Racing 1 - Zaragoza 1
Celta 3 - Mallorca 1
Granada 0 - Atlético Madrid 1

Barcelona put one foot in the semi-finals with a 1-2 victory at neighbours Espanyol. Rivaldo and Alfonso gave them a two goal lead at half time, but ten man Espanyol came back in the second half with a goal from Tamudo, and were unlucky not to square the match later on.

Celta came back from behind to beat Mallorca 3-1 in Vigo. Finidi gave the visitors the lead early on, but a dubious penalty converted by Gustavo López levelled the scores in the second half, and two more from Gustavo López and Cáceres gave the Gallicians a good 3-1 lead for the second leg.

Zaragoza's Ferrón put them ahead against Racing in the first minute on a rainy night in Santander, but Arzeno made it 1-1 in the second half after Aragón was sent off for the visitors.

Atlético Madrid's Correa got the only goal of the game against Granada to give them a 0-1 victory.
