Rayo's incredible start to the season continued in Norway, with the Madrid based side coming away with an invaluable away win against the side that knocked Mallorca out of last year's Champions League and gave Real Madrid a run for their money. An early goal by Bolo, his sixth of the season, gave Rayo the perfect start, the ex Bilbao striker showing excellent control as he made himself space to shoot. Rayo's keeper Julen Lopetegui was superb throughout, and he saved a penalty on the hour mark which could have put Molde back in the game. Luis Cembranos was once again Rayo's best player, and he was unfortunate not to extend their lead in the second half. Juande Ramos only made one change, bringing in Mauro at right back in place of the injured Alcázar. Kasey Keller has all but recovered from a broken finger, but Ramos decided to leave him out of the squad as a precaution. However with Lopetegui on such good form, he will find it hard to get his place back. Rayo should have no problems in going through to the second round in a fortnight's time.
