Goals:
1-0. 56. Biagini. Shot in off keeper from close range after Eto'o square pass.

Biagini's first goal of the season gave Mallorca a 1-0 victory over leaders Panathinaikos, taking them through to a place in the last 32 of the UEFA cup as the third placed side in their group. With the relaxed Greek side already qualified for the second phase Mallorca were in control for most of the match, and Paunovic brought a couple of saves out of Nikopolidis before the break. The visitors went close through ex Valencia striker Vlaovic, but Mallorca took the lead with just under an hour gone, the Greek keeper unfortunately taking the ball in to his own net as the Argentine forward connected weakly with Eto'o's pass.

The goal gave Mallorca more confidence in themselves, and Campano saw a shot cleared off the line by Kyrgiakos soon afterwards. Keeper Miki, making his debut in the Champions League, saved from Vlaovic, but otherwise Kresic's side were not troubled and they went on to secure the victory. In any case a draw would have been enough, and with Arsenal losing to Schalke 04 they must be ruing the last minute goal they conceded against the English club which it turns out cost them second place on head-to-head goal average. The final table was as follows: Panathinaikos 12 points; Arsenal 9 points; Mallorca 9 points; Schalke 6 points.
