Preseason matches

The last "preseason" friendly games were played this weekend taking advantage of the break for international football. The most interesting was the return of the "quinta de buitre", Butragueño, Michel and company, in a repeat of the famous end of season duels between Tenerife and Real Madrid of the early nineties. This time Madrid came out on top with a goal from, who else, "el Buitre" himself.

Alavés beat a watered-down AC Milan side 1-0 in front of a capacity crowd (tickets were free to members) in a match arranged as part of the transfer fee for Javi Moreno and Contra. (02.09.01)
