As expected, Spain were one of the eight seeded teams and have been drawn in Group B for the final stages of this competition together with Slovenia, Paraguay and South Africa, a relatively easy group compared to some of the others. There will be some old faces lining up against them therefore, including Slovenia's Zahovic (ex-Valencia), Paraguay's Toro Acuña (Zaragoza) and South Africa's Benni McCarthy (Celta). All three matches at this first group stage will take place in South Korea. (01.12.01) |
