Zaragoza: Juanmi; Rebosio, Pablo, Aguado, Esquerdihno; Toro Acuña, José Ignacio, Chainho; Juanele, Vellisca (Garitano 62'); Yordi. 4-3-2-1.

Goals:
1-0. Oruma. Shot across Juanmi after taking pass from Obradovic.

A late goal by Servette's Wilson Oruma bundled Zaragoza out of the competition. After almost 180 minutes of football without a goal, it looked as if the game was going to go into extra time when the Nigerian striker picked up Obradovic's pass and raced past Pablo before shooting across Juanmi. The Spanish international keeper was only in the starting line up due to an injury to Láinez, but he had kept his side in this match with a series of good saves, including a double stop from Frei and Obradovic in the second half.

Zaragoza did have chances themselves to get the vital away goal, with Pablo shooting at the keeper early on and a static Yordi wasting a couple of opportunities in the first half. José Ignacio put a header wide after the break in their best attacking spell, but in the end luck was not with them and once again they fell at the early stages of the competition. With his side struggling in the league and out of the Spanish cup as well, manager Txetxu Rojo may not have much longer left in charge, although president Alfonso Solans gave him his full support after the game.
