Málaga go through to a semi-final tie with Dutch side Willem II after drawing the second leg in Belgium. Kaklamanos gave Ghent the lead shortly before half time, but with a three goal lead from the first leg the result was never in doubt. Dely Valdés made sure though with a late goal in injury time.

Villarreal (0) 2 - Torino (2) 0

Villarreal fought back against Italian side Torino to cancel out a two goal lead from the first leg and win the tie on the penalty shoot-out. Guayre put Víctor Muñoz's side on the right track with a strike in the 46th minute, and Arruabarrena got the second on the hour mark. The Spaniards will play French club Troyes in the semi-final, with the prospect of an all Spanish final in the offing. (27.07.02)
