Second division, day 26

Things couldn't be closer in the second division, with a three-way tie at the top of the table and Zaragoza only two points behind in fourth spot. Murcia moved back to first spot on goal difference with a 4-2 victory over Eibar, ahead of Albacete, who were held to a 0-0 draw by Xerez, and Levante, who won the day before.

Las Palmas stay in sixth place after they were held to a 0-0 draw at Oviedo on Sunday lunchtime, and they are joined on points by Poli Ejido who beat Elche 2-0.

Sporting Gijon moved up to eighth after they beat Leganés 0-2, and Getafe squeezed in to the top half of the table after they won 1-3 at struggling Compostela who drop further down into the relegation zone.

Two more no-score draws as well, in the games between Salamanca and Numancia, with new shareholder Ronaldo as special guest, and Córdoba and Badajoz, where the locals recorded their fifth game in a row without defeat. (09.03.03)

Levante went top for 24 hours at least after a first half Amato goal gave them a 1-0 win over Terrassa. Zaragoza move back up to the promotion spots thanks to a last minute goal from Galletti in their 1-2 victory over Racing Ferrol, and Tenerife's run of five wins in a row came to an end when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Almería.
