Betis ran out winners of this tie against Viktoria Zizkov by four clear goals on aggregate to confirm that they are one of the favourites to reach next May's final in their home town of Sevilla. With a one goal advantage from the first leg, Víctor Fernández rested Denilson and Capi, giving Varela a run out on the left wing. The youngster was the only home team player to have a crack at goal in most of the first half, and the Czech side had the best scoring opportunity when Prats had to save from Smarda. However before the half time whistle Betis took the lead, Gastón Casas driving a loose ball home from right of goal after Fernando had forced a defender into missing his clearance.

Joaquín made it two from the penalty spot on the hour mark after Fernando was brought down by keeper Pizanowski, the young winger insisting in taking the kick despite the presence of more experienced penalty takers. Víctor Fernández relaxed, giving a run out to Capi, youngster Melli and then Joao Tomas, and Arzu, Melli and Varela all went close to extending the lead. Then with three minutes to go Joao Tomas rose to head his first goal of the season from a corner to wrap things up.
