Under 17 World Cup, semi-final

Spain 3 - Argentina 2 (aet)

Another great comeback, this time against Argentina, took Spain through to the final of the youth World Cup. The youngsters found themselves two down early on, the first a controversial goal from Biglia after the ball appeared to have gone out of play in the build up, and the second a header by Garay following a corner. Arsenal's new signing Cesc pulled one back though at the start of the second half, and Jurado levelled the scores a few minutes later. Argentina were left with ten men after Cardoso was sent off, but it appeared that they would hold on to the penalty shoot out as the clock ran down and Ruz was also sent off for Spain. But with two minutes to go Cesc hit the winning golden goal to take his side through to a final with Brazil on Saturday afternoon. (27.08.03)
