Transfer news

The silly season is upon us once again, that time of year when the local press fill reams and reams of paper with wild and wonderful rumours about big name transfers. Probably 95% of the news items are flights of fancy, but some are true to a greater or lesser degree. What is fairly sure for example (although the club deny it) is that Real Madrid will be changing their manager and increasing the size of their squad. Barcelona meanwhile have made their first acquisition for the new season, Villarreal's Brazilian right back Belletti tying the knot in exchange for around €3.5 million plus the waiving of the €2 million repurchase option on Reina.....
