No problems for Valencia in their rescheduled tie against Maccabi Haifa, Rafa Benítez's side running out 0-4 winners in Rotterdam to join the other three Spanish sides in tomorrow's draw. The game had at first been relocated to Turkey as UEFA ruled that Israel was unsafe, but was then postponed and moved to Holland following the terrorist bombings in Istanbul.

With a 0-0 result from the first leg in Valencia the manager wasn't taking any chances, and he put out a full strength side which even included keeper Cañizares after Palop pulled out with an injury. But they needn't have worried, as the Israeli defence could not produce the same performance as they had in Mestalla. With only a quarter of the game gone the Spaniards were two goals up, Mista starting things off in the tenth minute, picking up an Aimar pass from the halfway line to score, and Baraja getting a second from Vicente's pass a few minutes later.

The Israelis came back after the break as Valencia eased off the pace, Biruk shooting just wide and Dante López (who only two days ago played for the Paraguayan under 20 side against Spain in the Youth World Cup) bringing a good save out of Cañizares. But with the game in injury time Valencia added two more, Albelda beating Davidovitch from Canobbio's pass and Angulo celebrating his return to fitness heading home Ayala's cross.
