A magnificent last minute goal from Ronaldinho gave Barcelona a 2-1 win over AC Milan on Tuesday night, their first victory in an official match against the Italians in the Nou Camp in over forty years. Frank Rijkaard's side had fallen behind with a quarter of an hour gone when Shevchenko ran on to Pirlo's long ball to beat Víctor Valdés, and could have been two down when Kaka got through a minute later but failed to beat Víctor Valdés. But Eto'o levelled the scores before half time after Xavi set him up, and almost got a second a couple of minutes later when he shot just wide of the post.

Barça had most of the play after the restart, with Dida making vital saves from Deco and three times from Xavi, but Valdés also had to keep out Cafu and Shevchenko at the other end. It looked though as if the Italians were going to hold on for a draw until the Brazilian star danced past two defenders and struck an unstoppable shot into the top corner of the net. The two sides share the lead at the top of their group, and both only need a point in their next two games to ensure their qualification for the knock-out stage.
