Spain's under 21 side came from a goal down to beat Scotland 3-1 in this friendly game in Alcoy. The youngsters found themselves behind just before the break when O'Connor headed home Sweeny's free kick, but three minutes later the Scots were left with ten men when Clarkson picked up a second booking. Ten minutes after the restart Spain drew level when Iniesta beat Smith with a well struck free kick, and debutant Cazorla put his side ahead soon afterwards after Arizmendi set him up. And Melli got a third from the penalty spot later on after Jonathan was fouled to give his team a boost before their European qualifying game against Bosnia next week. (02.09.04)
