Spanish cup draw

The draw took place today for the second round of the Spanish cup, with teams organised into four regional groups and the 15 first division clubs seeded. Six second division B sides are still in the competition, Lanzarote, Mirandés, Cultural Leonesa, Gramanet, Girona, Lorca and also Conquense, who still have to play their postponed first round tie against Recreativo. The tie of the round is likely to be Real Madrid's visit to Tenerife, the ground where they lost two league championships on the last day of the season in the 1990s. Atlético Madrid have been drawn against Nàstic, Deportivo will visit Elche and Betis have a tricky trip to Cádiz. Matches will take place over one leg at the ground of the first-named sides on or around10th November. (02.11.04)
