We have received some vitriolic and insulting e-mails against our website following the incidents in Madrid which has caused upset for members of our staff.

Please note that we are independent website run by English speaking football fans living in Spain, and we have no link to any official sporting body in Spain. You should also be aware that we were just as appalled as everybody else by the racist chants on Wednesday night, and have always taken a stance against violence and prejudice on these pages.

We at SOCCER-SPAIN will give the Spanish football federation all our support to ensure that this undesirable element is eliminated from the game, and that Spanish football can return to its rightful place as the most entertaining and trouble free league in the world. (20.11.04)
