Youth international squads

In the absence of an official fixture, Spain's under 21 squad will play their under 20 counterparts in Segovia next Wednesday, 23rd March. Injuries to Getafe's Gabi and Eibar's David Silva keep them out of the match and Sergio Ramos has been promoted to the full international side, but Sergio García, Jesús Navas and Vitolo return, and there is a call up as well for Numancia's Tarantino, who is on loan from Athletic Bilbao. Jonathan and Garrido drop back to the under 20 side, which is largely made up of the squad which won the under 19 European Championship last summer plus Atlético's Molinero and Braulio and Real Madrid's Sergio and Ernesto.

Under 21 squad:

Goalkeepers: Moyà (Mallorca), Riesgo (Real Sociedad);
Defenders: Murillo (Athletic Bilbao), Melli (Betis), Jarque (Espanyol), Carlos García (Poli Ejido), Tarantino (Numancia);
Midfielders: Cesc Fábregas (Arsenal), Iniesta (Barcelona), Xabi Prieto (Real Sociedad), Jesús Navas and Antonio Puerta (Sevilla), Vitolo (Tenerife), Cazorla and Héctor Font (Villarreal), Zapater (Zaragoza);
Forwards: Llorente (Athletic Bilbao), Sergio García (Levante).

Under 20 squad:

The under 21 squad will then go on to play Serbia in their European Championship qualifier the following Tuesday. For the under 20 side, the game will serve as a warm up for next June's Youth World Cup, which this year will be taking place in Holland. Spain finished runners up to Brazil in last season's edition.
