Under 22 international squad

Spain have called up 18 players in an "under-22" squad for training prior to their participation in the Mediterranean Games, which will be taking place in Almería this summer. The managers have decided to opt for lesser known players, many of whom have played for the international youth sides but (with the exception of Antonio Puerta) are not currently in the under 21 side. Big names such as Fernando Torres, Reyes or Sergio Ramos have also been left out. (31.03.05)
