Under 22 squad

Spain will be putting out an "under 22" side to compete in the Mediterranean Games, which will be taking place in and around Almería from 23rd June to 3rd July this year. The managers have decided to use the occasion to give a run out to players who have not featured much at youth international level, such as Real Murcia's much sought after right midfielder Valera, Sevilla's young striker Kepa or Osasuna brothers Javier and Miguel Flaño. Eleven countries will be competing in the football competition, with Spain in group B together with Bosnia, Turkey and Lebanon. All their group matches will be taking place in the stadium of Poli Ejido, with the first three in the group going through to the quarter finals. (19.05.05)
