Youth World Cup

Spain 7 - Chile 0

An astounding result for Spain in their second group game, a 7-0 win over Chile ensuring them of top spot in their group and a place in the last sixteen. The South Americans had scored seven themselves against Honduras in their opening tie, and they looked like difficult opponents on paper. But Athletic Bilbao's Llorente got on the end of Gavilán's cross to head Iñaki Sáez's into the lead in the eighth minute, and Chile were left with ten men when Jara picked up a second booking a minute before half time. After that the floodgates opened, Robusté heading a second goal, Llorente scoring three more to take his tally to five in the competition, and David Silva coming on as substitute to score another two to complete the rout.
