Youth World Cup

Spain 3 - Honduras 0

Spain completed the formalities, beating Honduras 3-0 in their last group match to top the table with maximum points. Iñaki Sáez used the occasion to rest some of his first choice players, but even so they took the lead when Jonathan chipped the keeper in the fifth minute. And David Silva made it two shortly before half when he picked up a return pass from Víctor to score. Víctor himself headed the third from a corner midway through the second half, and the coach gave a run out to his third keeper Roberto for the last quarter of an hour. Unfortunately he only lasted three minutes before giving away a penalty and getting himself sent off, but Jonathan took over in goal and added to his ever growing reputation by saving Nuñez's spot kick.
