1-1. 75. Savio. Picked up Soriano pass and fired shot in off far post.

A strike fifteen minutes from the end by Savio gave Zaragoza a valuable 1-1 draw in their first leg tie at Austria Vienna. The match was almost postponed due to the heavy snow which had fallen in the Austrian capital, and only the insistence of the two teams convinced the referee and the UEFA officials to carry on. But conditions were difficult, and the locals took the lead around the half hour mark when Milito slipped on the icy surface, allowing Rushfeldt to get behind Aranzábal and volley past Luis García.

Galletti came close to equalising soon afterwards when Didulica turned his effort around the post, but Vastic should have increased the lead when he fired over the top from inside the six yard box after the restart. However Savio picked up a pass from Soriano later on to fire a shot in off the post and give his side the advantage for next week's second leg.
