Spanish international squad

Four changes in Luis Aragonés's squad for the World Cup play-offs against Slovakia next week, with Betis midfielder Rivera being called up for his first cap, and Del Horno, Morientes and Xabi Alonso all returning after injury and suspension. Rivera replaces his team mate Joaquín, who is dropped, and Mista, De la Peña and Capdevila have also been left out. The full list is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Casillas (Real Madrid), Reina (Liverpool);
Defenders: Antonio López and Pablo (Atlético Madrid), Puyol (Barcelona), Juanito (Betis), Del Horno (Chelsea), Michel Salgado and Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), Marchena (Valencia);
Midfielders: Xavi (Barcelona), Rivera (Betis), Luis García and Xabi Alonso (Liverpool), Albelda, Baraja and Vicente (Valencia);
Forwards: Reyes (Arsenal), Fernando Torres (Atlético Madrid), Morientes (Liverpool), Raúl (Real Madrid), David Villa (Valencia).

Spain kick off at home in Atlético Madrid's Vicente Calderón stadium on Saturday 12th November, with the return leg in Bratislava the following Wednesday, 16th November. (04.11.05)
