Third round

The draw took place today for the third round of the Spanish cup, with the 22 winners of the previous round going in to the hat together with Castellón, who were given a bye. As with the last round, the draw was carried out in two sections, the first pairing together the lower ranked sides and the second with only the second division A sides, one of whom (Xerez) were given a bye to the fourth round, where they will be joined by the 20 first division clubs. Matches will be played over one leg on or around 4th October. (25.09.06)
