Deportivo: Munúa; Manuel Pablo (Barragán 61'), Lopo, Andrade, Felipe; Duscher, De Guzman; Estoyanoff, Arizmendi (Verdú 46'), Cristian; Taborda (Bodipo 76'). 4-2-3-1.

Goals:
1-0. 03. Duda. Long free kick over defensive wall which caught Munúa off guard.
2-0. 33. Chevantón. Ran on to Alves pass to beat Felipe and score past Munúa.

Sevilla made it through to their first Spanish cup final in 45 years, a comfortable 2-0 win over Deportivo adding to their three goal first leg lead. With only two minutes on the clock Duda put the Andalusians ahead with a well struck free kick, and although Cristian hit the bar at the other end following another free kick later in the first half, Chevantón put the tie well beyond the Galicians' reach with a second goal later in the first half.

After that there was little that Caparrós could do other than to rest his key players and give a run out to some of the other members of his squad, including Bodipo, who was making his first appearance after a long injury. Juande Ramos too rested players given the upcoming league and UEFA cup commitments, although his side could have won by a bigger margin had Chevantón in particular converted two or three more chances after the restart. Another final though for Sevilla, and the much dreamed about triple is still on.

Getafe 4 - Barcelona 0

Getafe: Luis García; Contra, Belenguer, Alexis, Paredes; Mario Cotelo, Celestini (Pachón 77'), Casquero, Vivar Dorado (Alberto 83'); Verpakovskis (Manu del Moral 63'), Güiza. 4-4-2.
Barcelona: Jorquera; Zambrotta (Belletti 77'), Puyol, Oleguer (Gudjohnsen 60'), Sylvinho; Xavi, Edmilson, Iniesta; Giuly (Saviola 65'), Eto'o, Ronaldinho 4-3-3.

Goals:
1-0. 37. Casquero. Shot which came off the ground and span away from Jorquera.
2-0. 43. Güiza. Lifted ball past keeper from close up after Zambrotta deflection.
3-0. 70. Vivar Dorado. Got ahead of marker to head Contra free kick past keeper.
4-0. 73. Güiza. Cut in from right wing and fired shot into far corner of net.

A historic victory for Getafe, who overcame a three leg deficit from the first leg to beat Barcelona 4-0 and qualify for the Spanish cup final for the first time ever. Nobody gave Bernd Schuster's side a chance after the 5-2 scoreline in the first leg, and Rijkaard was confident enough to leave Messi at home to protect him from any "revenge" tackles following his goal in the previous game. But Getafe came out determined, and Güiza, Vivar Dorado, Maris and Paredes all wasted chances in the first half hour.

Eight minutes before the break though they went ahead when Casquero drove a shot into the ground, the ball spinning up past Jorquera and in off the post. And by half time they were two up, Güiza finding the ball at his feet after Zambrotta deflected a cross in to his path, the striker lifting the ball past the lunging keeper from close range.

Still there was no reaction from Barcelona, and Jorquera had to make first class saves from Maris and Güiza early in the second half. Then with twenty minutes to go Vivar Dorado got ahead of his marker to head Contra's free kick into the net, and Getafe were ahead on the away goal rule.

That was not enough for them though, and two minutes later Güiza ran on to Manu's headed pass to fire an angled shot past Jorquera and make it four. The visitors finally reacted, but Eto'o shot over the bar after making himself space, and Ronaldinho and Saviola both had shots blocked. And soon afterwards it was all over, scuppering Barça's plans for the double this year. Getafe will play Sevilla in the Bernabeu at the end of the season, and if the Andalusians qualify as expected for the Champions League, they will also qualify for the UEFA Cup whatever the result.
