Osasuna are close to qualifying for the league stage after a 2-2 draw at Trabzonspor in the first leg. The match was played behind closed doors due to a ban on the Turkish side, and Valdo gave the visitors the lead in the twentieth minute with a long shot into the far top corner of Jefferson's net. Milosevic could have increased the lead when he rattled the woodwork with a header, but before the break Osasuna were left with ten men when Izquierdo was sent off for a second bookable offence.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, Ziganda's side went further ahead when Juanlu scored from the edge of the area after Webó laid back Valdo's cross. Trabzonspor got one back almost immediately though, Karadeniz latching on to a loose ball in the area to beat Ricardo. Webó and Font both had chances to increase the lead after that, but with just two minutes to go Bulut levelled the scores following a quickly taken corner to give his side some hope.
