Espanyol join the other Spanish sides in next Tuesday's draw after beating Artmedia 3-1. The 2-2 draw from the first leg put the Catalans in a confident mood, but they found themselves a goal down when Buryan found space to head Kozak's free kick past Gorka with less than a quarter of an hour gone. However Jarque came close to equalising when he headed De la Peña's free kick against the bar only a couple of minutes later, and soon afterwards Pandiani did level the scores with a well directed header from a cross by youngster Chica, who was making his first ever start in a home grown back four.

Espanyol were on top for the rest of the first half, with Corominas hitting the foot of the post and Kollar producing an excellent save from a fierce drive by Luis García. De la Peña was enjoying his first outing of the season though, and he could have put his side ahead two or three times with long shots after the restart, one of which bounced up off the crossbar. Buryan gave the home fans a bit of a shock when he curled a shot just wide at the other end, but Corominas put their minds at rest when he poked the ball in to the net after Kollar spilled a long shot by Pandiani, and Pandiani himself wrapped things up with a second header from Riera's cross.
