0-3. 62. Chevantón. At second attempt after keeper blocked first effort.
0-4. 84. Kepa. Took advantage of hesitant defence to head past keeper.

Sevilla cruised through to the knock out stage of the UEFA cup with a 0-4 victory at Grasshopper. Chevantón was given a first start by Juande Ramos, and he put Coltorti to the test before Daniel Alves opened the scoring after making himself space to shoot low past the keeper. The local keeper was in action again later in the first half to stop efforts by Chevantón and Luis Fabiano, but the home side could have equalised soon after the restart when early substitute Biscotte Mbala Mbuta went close.

Alves got his second of the night though soon afterwards after Luis Fabiano's cross was blocked by a defender, and ten minutes later Chevantón made it three, turning the ball past Coltorti with his knee after the keeper saved his first effort. Palop had to save from ex Real Madrid midifelder Diego León and Eduardo later on, but Kepa wrapped things up near the end, getting on the end of Chevantón's cross to head down past the keeper. Sevilla's ended the day sharing top spot with Van Gaal's Alkmaar, who they play at home in the last group match.
