Sevilla made sure of their place in the Champions League proper after beating AEK Athens 1-4. Already two up from the first leg, Kerzhakov hit the bar before Luis Fabiano increased the lead from the penalty spot after Daniel Alves was chopped down by Julio César on the half hour mark. And before half time Keita and Luis Fabiano (again) had added two more with headers from corners by Alves and Capel respectively.

Kerzhakov ran on to score a fourth after the restart, and a few minutes later Palop saved a Liberopoulos penalty after Mosquera had brought down Toszer. But Serra Ferrer's side finally got a late consolation from another penalty which Rivaldo converted after Alves had fouled Liberopoulos. Sevilla are finally in with the big boys though, and Arsenal and company are waiting for them.
