Copa del Rey, semi-finals, second leg

Valencia 3 - Barcelona 2

Valencia will be Getafe's opponents in next month's Spanish cup final after a thrilling 3-2 win over Barcelona. Ronald Koeman's side were ahead throughout, although a late strike from Eto'o left the visitors needing one goal to go through.

Baraja opened the scoring for the Ches early in the first half, beating Valdés with a shot from outside of the area. And Mata made it two on the stroke of half time after David Villa took advantage of a hesitant defence to set him up.

Substitute Henry headed one back midway through the second half from Sylvinho's cross, but Mata restored the two goal lead just a minute later after connecting with a cross from David Silva. Eto'o's goal set up a frantic finish though, and there were some nervous moments before the referee blew the final whistle.(20.03.08)

Racing Santander 1 - Getafe 1

Getafe are the first side to make it to the Spanish cup final after beating Racing Santander 4-2 on aggregate. Michael Laudrup's team were defending a two goal cushion from the first leg, but within seven minutes that was halved when Munitis turned in a low cross from Jorge López. After that it was end to end stuff, with both sides failing to convert several chances.

With a quarter of an hour to go though the Cantabrians were left with ten men when Oscar Serrano was sent off for a second bookable offence, and five minutes later Casquero levelled the scores on the night under controversial circumstances, Albín passing through to him with Garay lying injured on the ground.

The incident upset the Racing players, and police had to break up scuffles between the two sides at the end of the match. Getafe were in to their second final in a row though, and they await the winners of tomorrow's tie between Valencia and Barcelona. (19.03.08)
