Villarreal had no problems completing the formalities against BATE Borisov, a 0-2 victory adding to the 4-1 scoreline from the first leg.

It was a rainy night in the Dynamo Minsk stadium, and any hope the local side ended when a good run by Mati Fernández ended with Cani shooting wide of BATE's corpulent keeper Fedarovich.

Fernández hit the post a few minutes later, but the Bielorussians came close to equalising with a Sakharov free kick which Diego López did well to save.

Guille Franco and Javi Venta both tried their luck after the restart, but it was substitute Angel who wrapped things up with a second goal later on.
