Getafe beat Aalborg 1-2 on Thursday night to leave themselves just needing a point in their last game to go through. Within ten minutes they were ahead, Manu del Moral outstripping his marker to cross in for Pablo Hernández to steer the ball past Zaza with his chest. And for a few minutes they looked like increasing the lead, Cata Díaz and Licht going close.

The Danish side are currently topping their local league though, and they could have been level by the break had Enevoldsen not put a good chance over the top, and had Pato not pulled out a first class save from Risgård's free kick.

Michael Laudrup was not going to lose on his return to Denmark however, and Manu wasted a good chance and then had another effort saved by Zaza. Curth headed just wide at the other end, but with twenty minutes to go Granero drifted past a couple of defenders and fired a long shot over the keeper for his side's second.

With the game in injury time it appeared to be over, but Prica headed one back from Nomvethe's cross, and just a minute later Pato produced the save of the night to keep out the striker. The win means that a draw will suffice in their last game at home to Anderlecht, but even a defeat would require Hapoel to win against Aalborg by a margin of three or more to get ahead of the Spaniards in their group.
