There is no justice in this world! Getafe missed out on a place in the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup in the cruellest possible way after an epic 3-3 draw with Bayern Munich. Despite having De la Red sent off in the fifth minute, Michael Laudrup's side took the lead on the stroke of half time after Contra ran through from the halfway line past a string of defenders to fire a shot past Oliver Kahn. But just as the fans were celebrating victory, Ribery volleyed home an equaliser a minute from the end to take the game into extra time.

Incredibly Getafe bounced back, with Casquero and Braulio both scoring in the first three minutes after the restart. But with five minutes to go Abbondanzieri dropped Van Bommel's free kick at Luca Toni's feet to allow him score, and with seconds left on the clock Toni headed home Sosa's cross to take the German side through on the away goal rule. Laudrup now has to rally his players in time for next Wednesday's Spanish cup final against Valencia.
