An amazing result at the Madrigal stadium, where Villarreal clocked up a tennis score against Aalborg. The Danish side surprised their opponents when Saganowski headed them in to the lead from Due's cross in the twentieth minute,

Rossi got on the end of Angel's cross to equalise and Capdevila scored a beauty with his right foot in a five minute period to turn the scoreline around, but Enevoldsen levelled the scores once again before the interval after running on to Saganowski's through ball.

Pellegrini brought on Llorente at half time though, and the striker netted twice in quick succession to build up a two goal cushion, bundling the first in to the net after Zaza failed to hold on to Senna's shot, and converting a cross from Pires for the second. And a minute later he almost set up Rossi for another, the defence scrambling the ball away from in front of goal.

The Danes kept on fighting though, and Johansson headed one back with a little help from Capdevila following Due's free kick. But Pires got a fifth with a rare header, and Llorente completed his hat-trick to keep the Spaniards level on points with Manchester United at the top of group E.
