Barcelona cruised through to the quarter finals with a 5-2 win over Olympique Lyon on Wednesday. Guardiola's side dominated the early minutes, with Xavi, Eto'o and Iniesta going close. Ederson and Benzema failed to convert chances at the other end, but two goals from Henry in a two minute period midway through the second half put their locals on the way to victory.

Shortly before half time they went four up, Messi scoring another delightful goal after cutting in from the right wing and using Eto'o as a wall before curling a shot past Lloris, and Eto'o himself ending a brief goal drought after picking up Henry's cross and leaving his marker for dead.

Everybody thought it was already over, but Lyon caught out a complacent defence with goals from Makoun and Juninho either side of half time. However Guardiola ordered his men to slow things down, and after Juninho got himself sent off with a second yellow card for arguing, Keita rounded things off with a well taken fifth in injury time.
