Spain's under 17 side were held to a 1-1 draw by Algeria on Tuesday night in Roces (Asturia). With his side qualified for the next stage of the European championship, Ginés Meléndez used the occasion to try out new players. Real Madrid's Rubén sobrino opened the scoring after Valencia's Cifo set him up early in the first half, and Sobriono and Kevin could both have increased the lead later in the first half. The North Africans equalised though through Baada soon after the restart, and although Aurtenetxe and Borja both went close, the scoreline remained unmoved.
