A night of surprises in the Champions League, but nowhere more so than the Nou Camp, where the little known Rubin Kazan beat defending Champions Barcelona 1-2. Guardiola's side came in to the game in a confident mood, but Ryazantsev caught out Víctor Valdés with a powerful shot from outside of the area in only the second minute. Ibrahimovic equalised early in the second half after chesting down a pass from Xavi, but a few minutes later Karadeniz restored the lead after Domínguez set him up. Ibrahimovic and Touré Yaya both rattled the woodwork after that, but they were unable to change a result which left three teams level at the top of the table.
