Latest transfers

Still waiting for the transfer market to take off, and in the absence of big signings the press are making them up - "Wayne Rooney for Barcelona, Steven Gerard for Real Madrid" etc. The truth is though that most clubs are opting to draft in their own youngsters rather than spend money in this time of crisis, and although there are still a couple of weeks to go to the deadline, nothing very big is expected to take place. Atlético Madrid have also been active, Salvio coming in as Maxi and Sinama move on. (20.01.10)
