Currently working to a programme set by world renown French specialist Doctor Sallient, (who helped Michael Schumacher and is now treating Ronaldo) and is expected to be fit again for the game in two weeks time against Espanyol. 02.04. Still confusion surrounding his injury after visiting the same specialist who treated Michael Schumacher. He has however decided to build up his knee muscles and hopes to be `playing again in two weeks time. Medical opinion is divided.

26.03. Latest news is that the injury is not bad, and that he could be playing in two or three weeks! The French specialist thinks that, by an accident of birth, he has no ligaments in his knee, and that the build up of muscles around the joint compensates this loss. The situation should be clearer this week.

23.03. Has apparently been ruled out for six months with a reported cruciate ligament injury picked up playing for Japan against China. Valladolid are taking legal advice having heard that the injury occurred in the fifth minute of the match, and the manager kept him on the field almost to the end. Went to Paris for a second opinion, but looks bad. Before that, Valladolid had said that they would take up their purchase option already rather than wait to the end of the season after good performances, but that is now on hold.
