12.05. Ended a disappointing season as non playing substitute at Tenerife. For the time being is expected to stay, but will probably only be sure when the squads are confirmed at the end of August. Has offers to go on loan, especially from second division clubs.

05.05. Substitute against Osasuna, and with his side winning right up to the last minute didn't get a game. Talking of moving on for next season, although Heynckes wants him to stay, especially if Urzaiz leaves the club.

28.04. Non playing substitute in the defeat at Rayo Vallecano.

21.04. Made a late appearance as substitute after his side fell behind to Sevilla.

14.04. Non playing substitute for the game at Zaragoza.

07.04. Came on for the last ten minutes in the home game against Barcelona, replacing Yeste. Once again his side were losing, this time by 0-2, and there was no further score after he made his appearance.

31.03. Substitute at Villarreal. Coming on for Ezquerro for the last half an hour. Unfortunately his side were 5-0 down at the time. They did score twice though afterwards, but he had no hand in the goals.

24.03. Non playing substitute, watching his team get hit for six by Celta from the bench.

17.03. With Urzaiz back, he was once again left out of the squad.

10.03. Finally got a few minutes of play, coming on for the last half an hour at Espanyol in place of Yeste. Urzaiz was suspended, but Ezquerro played in the striker role, and the youngster is finding it difficult to get a game. Furthermore his side lost.

03.03. Once again left out for the game against Las Palmas.

24.02. Not in the squad for the game at Valladolid.

17.02. Missed out on the chance to play against his older brother Aitor, who was in the Real Madrid starting line up. David was once again left out of the squad for the game in the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

10.02. Not included in the squad either for the midweek match against Málaga or the weekend game at Betis.

03.02. Turned down a move on loan to Albacete, preferring to wait for his chance at San Mames. However not included in the 18 man squad for the match at Valencia.

27.01. Called into the squad for the match against Deportivo, but despite the appearance of many non-regular players on the eve of the cup semi-final, didn't get on the park.

20.01. Still injured and missed out on the cup quarter final.

13.01. Broke his nose in training earlier in the week and missed the midweek cup match and league game at the weekend. Likely to be out for a couple of weeks.

06.01. On the substitutes' bench for the match against Tenerife, but didn't get on the pitch.

23.12. Not even called up for the second leg cup match, nor for the league match at Osasuna. Could be a candidate for transfer next month.

16.12. On the bench for the cup game at Salamanca, but Heynckes was not taking chances and put out virtually his strongest side. Come back from Salamanca in the second half meant he was not given a chance.

09.12. Left out of the squad again at the weekend for the game at Sevilla.

02.12, Started the game in the second round of the cup at Toledo, being replaced by Urzaiz after an hour or so. Didn't get a game at the weekend.

25.11. Left out of the squad for the away match at Barcelona, with David Cuéllar given a chance in his place.

18.11. Came on again late in the game at home to Villarreal but this time could do little, even missing an easy chance near the end as the teams drew 0-0.

11.11. Finally made his debut in the league this season, coming on for Urziaz against Celta for the last 25 minutes and leading their recovery. Scored the first with an angled header as his team turned the game around with three goals in ten minutes to win 2-3.

21.10. Still unable to get in to the first team squad.

14.10. Came in to the side for the cup match at Amurrio and played an important part in Bilbao's victory, scoring the first goal and making the second for Ezquerro. This was his first appearance of the season. Called up in squad of 19 for home game against Valladolid, but was the odd man out and had to watch the game from the stands.

07.10. Back from injury but not included in the squad either for match against Betis or Real Madrid.

15.09. Promising young striker, younger brother of Real Madrid's Aitor. Will be competing with another young forward Cuéllar as back up for Urzaiz. Started the season injured.
