Post Script. Kasey was due to leave the club this summer, having received several offers from overseas. However in the end he has decided to stay, and will once again be competing with Lopetegui for the first team spot.

28.05. Could be going back to the United Kingdom, as has received offers from clubs in Scotland and England. His agents have already had a meeting with Arsenal.

21.05. Was given a game against Sevilla, maybe his last match for the club. Let in two goals but Rayo won.

14.05. Lopetegui finally slipped, letting in a soft goal. Probably not enough however for him to get back in the team for the last match. Several clubs interested in signing him for next season.

07.05. Still on the bench as Lopetegui plays a blinder against Barcelona.

30.04. Played for the USA team against Russia in a match midweek, although still can't get his place back from Lopetegui in Rayo's first team.

09.04. Lopetegui playing well and Keller keeping the subs bench warm at the moment.

26.03. Sidelined again against Real Madrid, and with Lopetegui keeping a clean sheet may be out of favour for some time.

19.03. Fit again, but left on the bench by his manager after good performance by Lopetegui last week.

12.03. Suffered a dislocated shoulder during the week and missed the Saturday match against Betis. He was however fit enough to take a place on the bench, with Lopetegui replacing him in goal.

05.03. On the losing side again as Rayo lost to Alavés 0-1. Could do nothing about the goal, scored from close range.

27.02. Came back from his trip to the US to be hit by a whirlwind against Espanyol, who scored five past him.

20.02. Was voted US player of the year in his country. Picked up a rib injury midweek and doubtful for the match against Racing.

13.02. Didn't play in the cup quarter final as Juande Ramos has been giving Lopetegui games in the cup. Has been invited to dinner at the White House with the Clintons and the king and queen of Spain on 23rd February. His manager has allowed him to travel.

06.02. Kept a clean sheet against Celta.

30.01. Played well but let in two more at San Sebastian.

23.01. Let in one last week against Atlético, and two more against Mallorca, including a last minute penalty.

09.01. At last another clean sheet against Sevilla as Rayo win their first game in four weeks.

22.12. Saved a last minute penalty to give his team a draw against Barcelona.

19.12. Let in three more against Valencia.

12.12. Returned to winning ways with a 4-1 victory.

22.11. Lets in three more against Numancia on frozen pitch.

07.11. Let in three goals against Real Madrid, although wasn't at fault for any of them. Rayo still top of the league.

31.10. Real Madrid showing interest as Keller leads Rayo back to top of first division. Player looking to get EU passport through European ancestry.

17.10. Another clean sheet as Rayo move back to top of league.

19.9 Ditto. A clean sheet against Celta.

12.9. Another good game for surprise joint leaders against Real Sociedad.

30.8. Rayo won second match with Keller in goal. His team are equal top.
