12.05. Played in the last match of the season, a disappointing defeat at Rayo which means Celta miss out on the Champions League spot but ensure the UEFA spot for another year. Club want to keep him on for another year, and are talking to PSG. Depends to a large extent who will be manager next year though.

05.05. Despite another competent performance at home to Sevilla, couldn't prevent his side losing to put in jeopardy their Champions League place.

28.04. Another victory, this time at Zaragoza, and Celta march on towards the Champions League. Luccin was once again solid in midfield.

21.04. Has become a regular, and again started and finished the important game against Barcelona which Celta won to move ahead of their rivals in the league.

14.04. Played the full game at Villarreal, a controversial match which his side lost 2-1.

07.04. A first defeat in five games, losing 2-0 at Espanyol. Once again Luccin played the whole match.

31.03. Played the full 90 minutes in the home game against Alavés, which they won 3-1 to move up to fourth in the table.

24.03. Scored his first goal for the club in the 1-6 rout over Athletic Bilbao, a long shot which was selected as one of the best five goals of the weekend. Celta move in to the Champions League spots after three wins in a row.

17.03. Firmly established as Celta's anchor man, and once again completed the game against Las Palmas, which his side eventually won.

10.03. Played alongside Vagner as his team won 4-2 to move back up to the top six. Has said that he wants to stay at Celta, and hopes they can agree terms with Paris Saint Germain for next season.

03.03. Still considered a first choice player when available. Came back in for game against Real Madrid, which Celta lost.

24.02. One match ban confirmed so sits out the match at Betis.

17.02. Returned to the side for the match against Málaga which ended 0-0, thereby depriving them of a chance to return to the top of the table. Picked up another yellow card which means he completes the second cycle of five and is once again banned. He has now missed five matches so far, and tops our villains chart.

10.02. Played the full game in Celta's Tuesday night defeat at Deportivo, getting reported by the referee for insulting him near the end. Given another one match ban as a result, and therefore missed the match at Valencia.

03.02. Missed the game at Mallorca through suspension.

27.01. Picked up two yellow cards and hence his second sending off of the season against Real Sociedad. The team played better without him, coming from a goal down to win 3-1.

20.01. Played the full match at Tenerife which his side drew 1-1.

13.01. Started in the game at home to Osasuna, but was substituted by Giovanella halfway through through the second half after the visitors equalised.

06.01. Played the full match against Rayo on the return from the two week break. However after taking the lead they were held to a draw in the last minute.

23.12. Another good performance as his side beat Sevilla 0-1 to move up to the top three.

16.12. A 2-0 victory against Zaragoza, with Luccin setting up Gustavo López for the second goal from a short free kick.

09.12. Another full game at Barcelona, where his side came back from behind to draw 2-2 in the Nou Camp.

02.12. In the side for the disastrous cup game at Salamanca, which they lost in the last minute of extra time. A better result at the weekend, beating Villarreal. Played the 90 minutes, and had two or three good shots at goal.

25.11. Kept his place against Espanyol, playing the full game as they won 4-1.

18.11. Played the full 90 minutes in 1-0 defeat at Alavés.

11.11. Suspended once again for one match.

04.11. Didn't have a very good week. Returned to the side for the UEFA cup second leg at Slovan Liberec where the team threw away a two goal lead and got knocked out of the competition. Came in to the starting line up for the league match at Las Palmas after his one match ban and got himself sent off for a second bookable offence near the end. His team lost that one 4-2.

28.10. Suspended for one game.

21.10. Was rested by Víctor Fernández for the UEFA cup tie with Slovan Liberec (Doriva taking his place), but played the full 90 minutes against Real Madrid, marking (and somewhat overawed by) his fellow countryman Zidane. Picked up his fifth yellow card of the season and will miss the next game.

14.10. Was expected to be rested for the cup game at Lemona, but in the end played 120 minutes including extra time. Started again against Betis, being replaced by Doriva halfway through the second half with his team two goals up.

07.10. Played the full 90 minutes in the midweek match at home to Valencia (1-1 result). Started the game at Málaga but picked up a yellow card and was substituted at half time with the score at 2-2, which is how it ended.

30.09. Rested for the return leg against Sigma, but returned to the starting line up for the crucial game at Deportivo which his side drew.

23.09. Impressing in his early games, and once again played the 90 minutes in the 0-0 draw with Real Sociedad which kept his side at the top of the first division. Kept his place for the UEFA cup match against Sigma Olmouc, which they won 4-0, and repeated in the league match against Mallorca, which ended 2-0 to maintain top spot,

15.09. Brought in to play in the defensive midfield anchorman position, and favoured ahead of Doriva and Vagner right from the start, playing alongside Giovanella against Osasuna. Also played the full ninety minutes against Tenerife in the second league game, at first alone in front of the defence and then with Giovanella after the break.
