Spain are one of the favourites for the
upcoming Euro 2000 championships, having set new scoring records in their
qualifying matches under José Antonio Camacho. However they have been
accused of being perennial underachievers, almost always falling at the last
hurdle once they reach the final stages. Will it be different this time? Only
time will tell, but to help you get to know them better we have prepared this
little section on 'La Selección', and we will be following their
