Hi guys I wondered if you could help me... On the Primera Division history you said that 55 teams have played in the top flight. I've so far worked out 37 on my own + 11 more from research, I wondered if you could help me with the remaining 7 teams. The ones I have found are: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Athletic Bilbao, Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Deportivo, Betis, Sevilla, Malaga, Villarreal, Zaragoza, Real Sociedad, Mallorca, Cadiz, Racing Santander, Espanyol, Getafe, Alaves, Celta Vigo, Osasuna, Albacete, Numancia, Valladolid, Hercules, Real Murcia, Numancia, Recreativo, Sporting Gijon, Tenerife, Las Palmas, Rayo Vallecano, Oviedo, Salamanca, Logrones, Extremadura, Merida, Compostela (the 37 since I've follwed Spanish football), Lleida, Elche, Castellon, Pontevedra, Real Union, Cultural Leonesa, Alcoyano, Sabadell, Real Jaen, Cordoba, and Granada (The 11 I found through research). Thanks.

Hi James. Our site is a bit out of date in that section, it's actually 56 with Getafe. You mentioned Numancia twice, so that makes 47 in your total, but we bet you meant Levante (so back to 48). Málaga are in twice, as CD Málaga (who went bankrupt) and Málaga CF (their current name) - 49. Likewise there are two Burgos's, Real Burgos and Burgos CF - 51. Then you missed two of the 10 founding members, Arenas Getxo from Bilbao and Europa from Barcelona - 53. Barça's old B team, Condal - 54. Gimnastic Tarragona - 55. AD Almería, now merged in to UD Almería 56, and Atlético Tetuan, who were absorbed into Ceuta - hold on, that makes 57! The official list we saw certainly said 56 though, so we've duplicated one somewhere!
