Second Division - Day Thirteen

Atlético de Madrid B became the fifth team to change their manager. Fernando Zambrano, who managed the team less than five months ago, replaces Carlos Aguiar, who takes up a position in the technical services of the club. Leganés manager Enrique Martín was suspended for ten matches after stepping on to the pitch and cutting out a pass from a Badajoz player in last week's match. Badajoz also wanted the match to be awarded to them as they were losing 1-0 at the time and felt they could have scored from the move, but the committee turned down their request. Logroñes are negotiating with three groups and are hopeful of saving the club before it sinks into bankruptcy.

On the field of play, Salamanca moved back to the top, coming back from a goal down to win 4-1 against Córdoba. Leaders Las Palmas lost to Lleida by the same result and drop to third, behind Extremadura, who beat Logroñes by 3-1. Joint top scorers Salillas of Levante and Moises of Villarreal both scored again as their sides won 2-0 and 4-1 respectively. Both players have 10 goals, three ahead of Cheryshev (Sporting), Manel (Logroñes) and Changui (Compostela) who scored twice in his team's 2-2 draw. Levante's victory takes them up to 4th, ahead of Albacete on goal average. Three players were sent off just before half time at Tenerife, Ballesteros for the home team and Tcheryshev and Isma for Sporting. Tenerife won the match 2-1, with two from Barata, and move up to sixth. Mérida scored all three goals at Eibar and ended up losing 2-1, with two own goals, and Osasuna had their keeper sent off but still won 0-1. Toledo and Atlético Madrid B both lost and are bottom on 9 points, with Leganés (11 points) and Recreativo (12 points) in the other relegation spots.
