Goals: None.

A disappointing result for Barcelona at bottom club Osasuna, with points shared in the end in a game with no goals and very few scoring opportunities. Barça manager Charly Rexach put out a defensive side, with Rivaldo out injured and Saviola on the substitute's bench until well into the second half. The visitors dominated much of the match, but a well disciplined Osasuna defence left very few gaps at the back. A Luis Enrique header and a long shot from Cocu were the only real efforts at goal, and Rexach seemed to settle for a point when he brought on Frank De Boer and Coco in the second half. The result gave Osasuna their first point of the current campaign, and leaves Barcelona in mid-table with a win and two draws.
