Mallorca moved further away from the relegation spots with their second win in a row, this time by 4-2 against Osasuna. With Engonga out once again Sergio Kresic brought in youngster Julian Robles to his starting line up, and he almost lost Luque after he injured himself in the warm up, the striker finally making the starting line up after extensive treatment. He shook off the injury quickly though, forcing an early save out of Sanzol, who was keeping goal for the first time in the league this season due to Unzué's untimely bout of flu. Sanzol could do nothing though five minutes later when Camerooni international Samuel Eto'o celebrated his 21st birthday driving home Campano's corner for his team's first goal in the San Moix stadium in four games. Eto'o added a second from the penalty spot ten minutes before half time when Niño was brought down by Aloisi, and almost got a hat-trick before the break as Mallorca kept up the attack.

The visitors didn't give up though, and Gancedo put his side back in the game before the referee blew for half time, beating Roa from close up. Then twenty minutes in to the second half Palacios blasted a loose ball in to the net and it was all square. With Luque and Ibagaza off the field injured the home supporters started to despair, but Nadal popped up to head his side back in to the lead with ten minutes to go from another Campano corner. Osasuna found themselves a man short when Mateo was sent off for a second bookable offence, and Paco Soler put everyone's mind at rest with a fourth goal from a free kick right at the end. Mallorca move up the table to fourteenth, only a point now behind the Pamplona based side, who have only picked up two points from their last four games. Neither are clear though of the relegation zone, and only five points separate Lotina's side from bottom club Rayo Vallecano. The season still has a long way to go.
