Recreativo Huelva recorded their first win of the season after defeating fellow strugglers Osasuna 0-1. Referee Megia Dávila had a large part to play in the result though, disallowing a second half Iván Rosado goal for a previous foul and then turning down an appeal for a penalty when Loren appeared to handle in the area. He then awarded a penalty to the visitors five minutes from the end when Mateo tripped Benítez on the edge of the area which Cubillo converted.

The first half reflected the league position of both teams, with the only real chance falling to Osasuna's Aloisi early on. César did well to save his header from close range, and also stopped another effort from Iván Rosado later in the half. At the other end, Oscar Arpón shot wide twice and Sanzol had little problem dealing with another effort from Raúl Molina.

Alcaraz brought on Xisco after the break, but he spent more time fighting with Cruchaga than anything else, getting a hand in the face from the defender for his troubles. Megia didn't see that either, but he did see Benítez fall, and that was enough for Recre. They stay bottom, but are now level with Osasuna who are only a place above them. On this showing, both may still be there thirty games from now.
